Raspberry Suite Color Challenge Week 2

I love the color combo this week but I am just so limited with my stamping collection.  I only have 1 blue ink which is light, so I paired the whole thing with a darker CS to get more of the flavor of the color.  Anyway, it's always fun to see what I can try with these challenges and even more fun to see what others come up with.

Gettin Sketchy - March

Love is spoken here.  

This is my first time posting a LO and so obviously my first time posting to Gettin Sketchy.  I was really drawn towards the sketch and can see myself doing it again.  I usually go for solid background with patterned accents.  But I'm trying something different for me with this daisy background.  The jury is still out but I'm going to work with this paper some more on another LO.  I like it.  I kept everything else pretty simple.

March PTI Blog Hop

This is my first time participating in a Blog Hop altho I've looked at the links before.  When I think of creating background, I think of random stamping.  I really don't know if there is a difference.  I suppose a background can be geometric or random.  So, mine is random which I enjoyed putting together.

I'm new to the blog sketches that are out there and I'm having  a lot of fun.  I had every intention of sticking close to the CardPattern #7 sketch but when I started laying my elements down, I changed it up a bit.

Thinking Spring

I tried to combine 2 challenges on my card today.  I am a huge fan of Dawn's color combos and wanted to try her first challenge.  It was a little difficult because I don't have ink in any type of orange palette, but I do have some ribbon.  So I thought of the CPS #108 sketch, which just screams "ribbon" to me.  Once I started on this, I thought of a card a while ago that Lisa did and so I did the same thing.  I like the spring colors to this.  Very fun.

Color Inspiration #46

I love the fabric that inspired the color choices this week.  So I chose my all time favorite stamp.  I've only been stamping for 2 years so that could change, but I've had more fun with this set than any other.  I've done this technique before (copied the exact same idea from somebody else- love it) but I usually limit myself to 2 colors.   However, I think the blue adds a fun little pop.

True Strength

I was one of the winners in the PTI anniversary celebrations and this was my free stamp.  I've wanted to order from PTI several times but have been put off by the shipping to Canada.  I love several of their stamps and their colors.  I might break down and place an order.  I'm just loving the quality of PTI.  Very impressive.
