I love to do layouts but sometimes they're just so time consuming compared to cards. But I love the finished product. These are pictures from last fall but I just realized I put the wrong date. Argg.... I'll have to go back and change that.

Color Challenge #53

I've been browsing blogs all weekend and have been struck with the simple cards. I love them. I love the white space and how the color just jumps out. So... I had some time and with all of the bold colors in this week's challenge, I tried to capitalize on the white space.

Card Patterns #11

I liked this Card Patterns sketch and loved the journal element on the sketch.  I've never purchased from etsy before, but am seriously considering an order.  I just love what the design team has done with all of the tags from Paper Pixie.  I'm afraid I tilted my "tag" element too much but my daughter actually commented on my card this morning and she rarely makes a comment.  I think it's the amethyst & black combo.  We both love it.  Anyway, the card is pretty straight forward, but once I get some journal tags of my own, I think I'll come back to this sketch.  I really like it.  Did I already say that?

CPS 112

I made 6 sets of notecards for administrative assistant day and didn't take a single picture.  What was I thinking?  Anyway I used this old Making Memories Maddi Paisley paper for one of the sets.  My husband requested "fun" paper and I think this color combo is FUN. So it was still out when I tried this card.  With the rain today, I decided to use umbrellas instead of circles, but I still stayed true to the CPS sketch.
